About This Project

Cabalar is the happiest place on earth, or at least in Lancaster City. As a combination butchery meets burger spot with a real happy bar, they pair mouthwatering burgers, sandwiches, fries, and sides with some mighty tasty bevvies, all made with the best ingredients.

Every week they feature unique specials that showcase their creativity and commitment to quality. This site tracks those specials so I never forget which ones I've tried and loved (or didn't love as much).

I'm Tom — a Lancaster-based tech consultant and the person behind this site. I've been ordering the Cabalar weekly special almost religiously since the summer of 2021. That's over 200 orders and somewhere north of $6,000 spent in pursuit of the perfect sandwich. No regrets.

I built this tracker to keep a record of every special I've tried and to share my rankings with anyone curious about what to order. My top 15 are the ones I'd order again in a heartbeat — but honestly, even the ones that didn't make the list are still pretty good. It's all relative to Cabalar's very high bar.

Specials I've tried are ranked from 1 (best) to 15. The ranking reflects my personal preferences based on taste, value, and how likely I am to order it again.
